Welcome To Fantasy Wrestling Writer

 Hello! My name is Cass A. Nova and I'm starting this page because I love wrestling and I love creative writing. I want to start by saying I have never worked a day in the professional wrestling business and this is not me trying to take someone's job who does. I'm just someone who enjoys talking about wrestling and writing about it sometimes or "fantasy booking". I did once upon a time do some show recaps and occasional interviews or editorials for a website or two under my legal name but that was in the past.

I remember starting in my teen years watching wrestling and I would take the rosters of wrestling companies in a notebook and write out feuds and main events months in advance. I'd write out how I would use those to lead to main pay per views especially Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, Wrestlemania, Starcade or the Great American Bash. I would even write about fantasy matchups if both companies worked together.

So now as I approach 50 VERY soon, I'm looking at fun ways to explore my imagination and creativity in writing form. My goal here is just to help vent and let my creativity flow. I will not partake in wrestling rumors and this is not meant to be a news site. I'm not here to tell someone they're "wrong" or "you suck". I am not begging for anyone's job nor do I think I am better than anyone who does work in the business. I am looking for fun and positive expressions of something I have loved for over 40 years and will not be intentionally insulting or demeaning anyone in the business. There might be occasional "Monday Morning Quarterbacking" but respectfully just sharing what I would do.

Let's be honest...I am not in the locker room so I do not know everyone and everything that goes on beyond the scene and not trying to act like I do. I want to try to do this respectfully of people's personal and business lives without spreading dirt or just posting popular opinions. Do not read my writing and expect that I am coming from a place of experience or an expert in anything...I am just a fan like you.

I am simply a fan who loves wrestling and writing to help my depression and escape the realities of life. I have written poetry (hence the name Cass A. Nova, which I will talk more about one day in a future post) and "song lyrics" that have never been published. I have started and worked for blogs writing about sports and my hometown. And as I said earlier, I have done some writing on wrestling sites in the past but nothing you would likely even recognize most likely.

I hope if you read this site, you will enjoy what I write. I am simply a fan like you who loves to write and maybe if this is successful enough, I will bring in others to join in and share their writing as well. I am honestly excited to share some ideas especially about what I would do if I started a wrestling company myself (which is part 1 of that will probably be my next post on here later this week).

How I Would Format the Professional League of Wrestling In More Detail

So in an earlier post ( https://fantasywrestlingwriter.blogspot.com/2021/12/if-i-started-my-own-wrestling.html?m=1  )  I talked about one idea I’ve had for years if I started my own wrestling company (P.L.O.W.- Professional League Of Wrestling). The idea was to start a league based on teams in various towns/cities facing off for post season individual awards and team     championships similar to the NFL, MLB or NBA with a touch of amateur wrestling meets as well.   So in this post, let’s suppose I had the funding to pull this off. What do I do next? So let’s suppose I have minimal funding and starting local in the Syracuse/CNY area since that’s where I live. I’d start with 8 teams in towns I thought would attract audiences and find venues like schools, parks or even fire departments or VFW halls nearby to work in. What If…battle royals/Royal Rumbles/Casino Battle Royals

In what might be a regular deal, I present to you my idea of some quick hits/small observations on topics. This edition is centered around things that would be interesting in a battle royal style matchup. What If …someone came to the ring with weapons. It’s no DQ so why not? Or bring back the Bunkhouse Stampede.. What If …in the middle of a Royal Rumble, everyone was eliminated and the ring was empty for 2 minutes. What if …someone wore weights to make them heavier or even old school armor like a knight. What If …the winner of the Royal Rumble was someone nobody expected who wins accidentally and spends a month hiding so he doesn’t lose his spot only to lose it to the real main eventer at a show just before Wrestlemania. What if …the wild card in the Casino Battle Royale was actually two competitors who said they were both promised that spot and fight about it and eliminate each other or someone locked them in a room, took the spot and the real wild card comes out and destroys them.
